LEBANON CIVIL SOCIETY CAPACITY BUILDING

Center for Middle Eastern Strategic Studies (ORSAM) organized a Lebanon Civil Society Training program on 18-25 December 2016 with the support of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities. 14 Lebanese NGO representatives were accommodated in Ankara, received lectures on NGO administration and personal development and visited relevant nongovernmental organizations. 

Within the scope of the training program, Lebanese NGO members and representatives who have close ties with Turkey were accommodated in Ankara and Istanbul. Experienced academicians and bureaucrats gave lectures on Establishment and Development of NGOs, Entrepreneurship, Use of Social Media, Political Communication, Personal Development and Leadership in the training program. The program also included the visits to institutions and organizations and nongovernmental organizations such as the Prime Ministry, TIKA (Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency), SAM (Center for Strategic Studies), Yunus Emre Institute, TOBB University, YTB (Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities) where experiences were shared. At the end of the program, young Lebanese participants received their certificates on 23 December 2016, in the presence of the representatives of YTB and ORSAM.
