Decision of Cooperation Between Baghdad University and ORSAM

A group of academician from Baghdad University coming to Ankara in order to make several contacts in Turkey paid a visit to ORSAM on August 3, 2010. In the roundtable meeting cooperation possibilities were discussed.

The participants of the meeting are as the following: the Rector of Baghdad University Prof. Dr. Mousa Jawad Azeez Al-MUSAWI, El Havarizmi the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Nabeel Kadım Abid Alsahib AL-AZRAQİ, the Dean of the Faculty of Languages Prof. Dr. Talib Abduljabbar Mohammed   MOHAMMED, the Dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences Prof. Dr. Amer Hasan Fayyadh FAYYADH, the Director of the Scientific Affairs in the Rectorship – academic member of the Faculty of Science Department of Chemistry Dr. İssam M. A. S. SHAKIR, the Faculty of Engineering- Head of the Electricity Department Prof. Dr. Sulaiman Murtadha Abbas ABU-NAYLA, Professor of Turkish Language – academic member of the Faculty of Languages Turkish Language and Literature Prof. Dr. Choban K. HAYDAR, The Doctor of Turkish Language Dr. Najdat Yashar Murad MURAD, academic member of the Faculty of Science Department of Chemistry Dr. Yehya Kamal Khaleel KHALEEL, academic member of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature Ahmed Farman Saeed AL-CHALABY.

The ORSAM delegation under the presidency of the Director of ORSAM Hasan Kanbolat and the delegation from Baghdad University came together initially in the working dinner. After the working dinner, a meeting was held in the presence of the two delegations. Firstly the Director of ORSAM Hasan Kanbolat gave information about works of ORSAM. Later the two delegation exchanged views about organizing bilateral conferences between ORSAM and Baghdad University and about the contribution of ORSAM to cooperation between universities in Turkey and in Baghdad. The Iraqi academicians made comments about the current political developments in Iraq and later an evaluation was carried out about the Middle Eastern policy of Turkey and general Middle Eastern matters.
