MIDDLE EAST ISSUES WERE EVALUATED WITH USA COMMITTEE

Michael Fraizer from the department of Political Science at Howard University, Iraq expert Sean Kane from the United States Institute of Peace, James C. Witte from the Social Sciences Research Center at George Mason University, New Israel Fund Washington director Aviva Meyer and Political Reporter Justin Elliot participated in a round-table meeting.

The assembly started with the opening statement of ORSAM Middle East Advisor Assistant Professor Doctor Serhat ERKMEN. In the meeting held with participation of ORSAM Middle East expert Bilgay DUMAN, ORSAM Water Research Program Advisor Dr. Tuğba Evrim MADEN and Dr. Seyfi KILIC, they have exchanged ideas about subjects such as how peace will be established in Iraq after the retreat of USA from this country, Turkey`s approach and opinions about the issue, on which subjects ORSAM Water Research Program focuses, the future of water issue in the Middle East, the situation of Jordan river basin and its future, Turkey`s water policy, effects and results of Syria`s new situation, political and economic relations between Iran and Turkey, effects of Turkish economy to the Middle East and the process in which it is influenced by the Middle East and the current general view on the Middle East.
