A delegation of 25 people from Pakistan paid a visit to Turkey between 17 and 22 March 2015, in the context of 'Youth Bridge Program' which is a regular activity of Public Diplomacy Coordinator. The 25-person Pakistan Youth delegation, consisting of the representatives of scholars, graduate students and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), realizes many contacts within the context of their five-day program in Istanbul and Ankara. Turkey-Pakistan Youth Bridge Program, which was formed due to the protocol between Turkey and Pakistan on 2010 and enacted on 2011, aims to strengthen cooperation and the brotherly relations between the youth of two countries. 25-person Pakistan Youth delegation paid a visit to ORSAM on 17 March 2015, at the first day of their program. Host delegation consisted of ORSAM Advisor Assit. Prof. Bayram Sinkaya, ORSAM Researchers Bilgay Duman and Oytun Orhan, ORSAM assistant researchers Nebahat Tanrıverdi Yaşar and Firuze Yağmur Gökler. Presentations on Turkish foreign policy and the Middle East were made by ORSAM advisers and researchers.
The meeting began with the opening speech made by ORSAM Advisor Assit. Prof. Bayram Sinkaya. Then ORSAM Research Assistant Firuze Yağmur Gökler made a presentation on ORSAM activities. Following the presentation made by ORSAM Researcher Bilgay Duman on the current developments in Iraq; ORSAM Researcher Oytun Orhan made a presentation on Syrian crisis and Turkey’s foreign policy on the issue. Meeting ended with the question and answer section.
