ORSAM Visit by the SAM Student Platform

SAM Student Platform, which is established by the students who did their internship and got training in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Turkey and works under the consultancy of the Center for Strategic Research (SAM), visited ORSAM on 26 November 2015. During the visit, ORSAM Research Assistant Firuze Gökler gave an introductory briefing about ORSAM and its activities. Afterwards, ORSAM Researchers Oytun Orhan and Bilgay Duman discussed the role of think tanks in the decision-making processes, the think tanks in Turkey and the role of think tanks in world politics. In addition, Orhan and Duman made presentations on Syria and Iraq, which are their areas of expertise. The presentations were followed by the questions and answers period, in which ORSAM President Şaban Kardaş answered the questions about Turkish foreign policy, Syria and Iraq.
