SAM Interns Visited ORSAM

A delegation of Center for Strategic Research of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey (SAM) interns paid a visit to ORSAM on 17 September 2015.

During the visit, the interns were informed about ORSAM activities, publications and  events. Following the introduction of ORSAM activities, the students were given a presentation on the recent developments in the Middle East. ORSAM Researcher Oytun Orhan assessed the current conflicts in Syria including the situation of Syrian refugees. Based on a question from interns, Orhan shared his thoughts on Russia’s moves in Syria. After Orhan’s presentation, Bilgay Duman, Orsam Researcher, made a speech on the situation of Turkmens in Iraq and Syria and the effects of the ISIS’ advance on the Turkmens.

The meeting ended with a question and answer session.
