Mosul Operation, Iraq’s Future and the Turkmens Conference

A conference titled "Mosul Operation, Iraq's Future and the Turkmens" was held on Thursday, 15 December 2016 within the cooperation of ORSAM (Center for Middle Eastern Strategic Studies), TEPAV (The Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey) and Political Science and International Relations Department of TOBB University of Economics and Technology. A large audience filled the conference hall gathering diplomats, bureaucrats, academics, journalists, representatives of nongovernmental organizations. President of the Iraqi Turkmen Front and Kirkuk Deputy of Iraqi Parliament ErşatSalihi delivered a lecture. In his speech, ErşatSalihiaddressed the effects of ISIS's presence in Iraq on Turkmens, the recent developments regarding the Mosul operation, the effects of the operation on Iraq's future and Turkmens' position.The conference ended with a question-answer session.
