Baran Yağarcık

He completed his undergraduate studies in the English-language Theology Program at Istanbul University. He earned his master’s degree in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Mardin Artuklu University with a thesis titled “Power Competition Between Türkiye and Iran in the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government Following the Independence Referendum (2017–2023).” His academic interests focus primarily on Middle Eastern politics, particularly Iraq, Iran, and Syria. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of International Relations at Istanbul Medeniyet University. He is proficient in English, Persian, and Kurdish, and has an intermediate level of Arabic proficiency.
