Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University International Relations Community visited ORSAM

Within the context of “Ankara Familiarisation Trip”, a delegation of Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University International Relations Community composed of 45 students paid a visit to ORSAM on 11 December 2014.

The meeting began with Dr. Tugba Evrim Maden, Researcher at ORSAM Water Research Program, giving a speech on ORSAM’s activities. Following a brief presentation, Maden answered the questions of students regarding ORSAM Summer School; and informed them on the application process. Also, the students who attended previous ORSAM Summer School shared their experiences during the meeting.

After presentations on ORSAM’s activities and publications, Firuze Yagmur Gokler, ORSAM research assistant, gave a presentation on the ORSAM Applied Training Program and explained the program context, application requirements and process. Following her presentations, she commented on the positive contributions of the program towards student carrier as well as answered questions on applications.

Finally, Nebahat Tanriverdi Yasar, ORSAM research assistant, answered questions related to theArab Spring, ongoing instability in Libya, elections in Tunisia, coup d’état in Egypt and recent developments in the country in question-answer session.
