A conference titled “The Future of Iraq and the Turkmen towards the Referendum” was help on Friday, 15 September 2017 within the cooperation of ORSAM and TEPAV. A large audience filled the conference hall gathering diplomats, bureaucrats, academics, journalists, representatives of nongovernmental organizations. President of the Iraqi Turkmen Front and Kirkuk Deputy of Iraqi Parliament Erşat Salihi delivered a lecture. In his speech, Erşat Salihi adressed the impact of the planned referendum to Iraq and Turkmen, current status of Turkmen regions, the position of Turkmen politicians against the developments in Iraq. The conference ended with a question-answer session.
