Ege University International Relations Community (ULİT) visited ORSAM

A delegation of Ege University  International Relations Community composed of 27 students paid a visit to ORSAM on 25 December 2014.

The meeting began with Dr. Tugba Evrim Maden, Researcher at ORSAM Water Research Program, giving a speech on ORSAM’s activities. Following a brief presentation, Maden answered the questions of students regarding ORSAM Summer School; and informed them on the application process

After presentations on ORSAM’s activities and publications, Firuze Yagmur Gokler, ORSAM research assistant, gave a presentation on the ORSAM Applied Training Program and explained the program context, application requirements and process. Following her presentations, she commented on the positive contributions of the program towards student carrier as well as answered questions on applications.

Finally, Nebahat Tanriverdi Yasar, ORSAM research assistant and Dr. Tugba Evrim Maden, ORSAM Researcher, answered questions related to Water Issue in the Middle East, Turkey’s Water Policy, development of  international water law, theArab Spring, ongoing instability in Libya, elections in Tunisia, Muslim Brotherhood,  coup d’état in Egypt and recent developments in the country in question-answer session.
