MEETING WITH CENTER OF THE MIDDLE EASTERN STUDIES

A round-table meeting was held on October 7,2011 with the participation of Dr. Çiğdem Balım, the director of Language Instruction in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures in Indiana University and the vice-president of the Center of the Middle Eastern Studies. In the meeting, Dr. Balım presented information about the studies in Indiana University and the Center of the Middle Eastern Studies. Dr. Balım mentioned about the social media, its influences on Muslim community and their projects related to this issue. Within this scope, she also pointed out the process of molding public opinion, the improvable researches relevant to this subject and the cooperation domains.
