ORSAM-JIIA (Japan Institute of International Affairs) Workshop

As part of its study visit to Japan on 18-21 October 2015, ORSAM held a workshop with Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) on 21 October 2015. This program was the follow-up of the previous workshops which ORSAM held in Turkey within the scope of its academic cooperation with JIIA. The workshop allowed for an intense exchange of opinions. In the workshop, President of the Institute Shingo Yamagami, Prof. Ryoji Tateyama, Dr. Kohei Imai and Dr. Koichi Arai from Japan and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şaban Kardaş, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mesut Özcan, Assis. Prof. Dr. Bahadır Pehlivantürk and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebubekir Ceylan from Turkey made academic presentations and elaborated on both countries' foreign relations as well as their policies toward their own regions. In addition, President of JIIA, Ambassador Shingo Yamagami, made a detailed presentation about Japan’s security situation.
