ORSAM-METU JOINT MEETING: TUNISIA

ORSAM and Middle East Technical University (METU) carried out a closed meeting entitled, “Tunisia and Turkey-Tunisia Relations in the Anniversary of the Revolution” in Ankara, on March 20 2012. H.E. Mehrez Ben Rhouma, Ambassador of Tunisia made the opening speech of the meeting, in which participants from various universities and different organizations took part. In the workshop which was moderated by ORSAM Adviser Assoc. Professor Dr. Özlem Tür from METU International Relations Department, Middle East ORSAM Research Assistant Nebahat Tanrıverdi O, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Harun Öztürkler (ORSAM Advisor, Middle East Economies – Afyon Kocatepe University), and Foreign Trade Expert Seda Kocabaş from General Directorate of Agreements in the Ministry of Economy made presentations. Today’s Zaman Ankara Representative Abdullah Bozkurt, Mr. USAK Expert Mr. Ali Hussein Bakeer, Expert Gamze Coşkun, Seda Kırdar and Simge Andı from TEPAV Foreign Policy Studies, and Ali Oğuz Diriöz from Bilkent University contributed to the workshop with their precious questions and comments.

During the meeting, the participants exchanged their opinions on the developments in Tunisia, and especially on the cooperation possibilities between Tunisia and Turkey.
