ORSAM’S VISIT TO THE EMBASSY OF EGYPT IN TURKEY

On January 26, 2011  Hasan Kanbolat, ORSAM Director; Habib Hürmüzlü, ORSAM Advisor and Nebahat Tanrıverdi O, ORSAM Research Assistant paid a visit to the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Ankara and talked to the Ambassador Abderahman Salaheldin and the Second Embassy Secretary Nader Saad. 

The Ambassador Abderahman Salaeldin, who touched on the importance of the relations between Turkey and Egypt during the meeting, stated the importance of increasing the economic, academic, social and cultural relations as well as the political cooperation between Turkey and Egypt. Talking about the effectiveness of the Turkish existence in Egypt and the historical, cultural relations in terms of the relations between Turkey and Egypt; and also about the kind reception of the works to be carried out in this context, the Ambassador Abderrahman Salaheldin stated that he appreciated the positive and intense developments in Turkey-Egypt relations. The Ambassador Abderahman Salaheldin, who mentioned the official visit to be paid to the Arab Republic of Egypt on February 9-10, 2011 by the Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, stated he hoped that the relations would develop more in a positive way. He also added the constructive contribution of the similar policies of Turkey and Egypt in regional aspect to these good relations.
