Turkish-Saudi Culture Days were organized by Uzungöl (Trabzon) Tourism Association under the pioneering of ORSAM on 24-25 July 2011. The organization was realized as a program, in which young participants got together and “different cultures met” with the support of ORSAM.
The organization lasted two days and students from Saudi Arabia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Germany, USA, Pakistan and Tunisia participated. During the organization, Prof. Dr. Orhan Kural, the chair of Istanbul Technical University Department of Mining Engineering, the Founding President of Travelers Club of Turkey, the president of Bağımlılığa ve Sigaraya Hayır Derneği (Say No to Addiction and Smoking), and Honorary Chief Consul to Benin, held a seminar.
In the first day of the organization, the participants had a trek in Uzungöl and they held an exhibition of the photos they took during the trek. They decided to hold the exhibition in Ankara as well. There also has been a festival in which Turkish and Saudi music were played and dance shows were held. Uzungöl Municipality held a conference for introducing its services. During the organization the Saudi representatives were also consulted. Lastly, the organization was ended with a soccer match between Turkish and Saudi youth and closing festivals.
