Visit to El-Alamein Institute

The Turkish delegation in Iraq paid a one-day visit to Najaf for a workshop organized on 19 February 2017 under the cooperation ofthe Al-Nahrain Research Centre, a research centreaffiliatedto the National Security Undersecretariat of the Iraqi Prime Ministry, and ORSAM upon Turkey-Iraq relations. During the visit, the Turkish delegation visited Ayatollah Ishaq al-Fayyad and Ayatollah Sayed Mohammad Saeed al-Hakeem who are Shiite religious authorities in Iraq, and then held a meeting with the El-Alamein Institute affiliated to the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education. At the meeting, views were exchanged on Turkey-Iraq relations, as well as theimportance of Najaf in Iraq.
