Faraidoon Salih Hama

Biography

Faraidoon Salih Hama graduated from the College of Law and Politics in Salahaddin University-Erbil, in 2001. Between 2002 and 2005, he served as head of the Media Unit at the Ministry of Communications and Transportation. He obtained his master’s degree in International Politics, at the College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University-Baghdad in 2007 with his thesis titled “Analysing American Foreign Policy in the perspective of Realism Theory: George W. Bush administration as a study case”. Having been among academic staff of the University of Sulaimani since 2008, when he started as an assistant lecturer, Dr. Hama continues his academic career as a lecturer. In 2015, He obtained a scholarship from YTB (Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities) for a PhD study in the School of Politics and International Relations at Istanbul University. His PhD dissertation, which will be submitted in February 2021, is titled “The effects of independence referendum of Iraqi Kurdish Regional Administration on Regional Government, Iraq and its regional relations”. He currently works as assistant researcher at Department of Iraq Studies at ORSAM.
