Hafssa Fakher el Abiari

Biography

Hafssa Fakher el Abiari  is a non-resident analyst at MEA Risk, a US-based company that tracks and assesses risks in the Middle East and Africa. Hafssa Fakher el Abiari conducts research on International Relations Theory, Conflict Resolution, and Security in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). She is also a reviewer at the International Association for Political Science Students (IAPSS), where she reviews papers submitted to the Politikon Journal. In 2019, she joined the Center for Iranian Studies (IRAM) in Ankara, where she has researched and published on Iranian-Tunisian relations since Habib Bourguiba’s governed as president of Tunisia. Hafssa holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies (Honors Program) from Al Akhawayn University (AUI) in Morocco. Her senior thesis, titled: “Military Drones in Libya: The New Equalizer,” was chosen as the best project at AUI’s School of Social Sciences and Humanities. Hafssa speaks Arabic, English, and French fluently, and is conversational in Spanish and Farsi.
