Hamza Haşıl

He graduated from Middle East Technical University (METU), Department of History (major) and Sociology (minor) in 2015. He studied Arabic at Kuwait University Philology Center between 2015-2016 by earning the Kuwait government scholarship. Currently, he is pursuing his master’s degree in Middle East Studies Department of METU. Haşıl, who has conducted researches on the state-building in the Middle East and the geopolitics of East Africa-Red Sea surrounding, has closely interested in Syrian civil war. He has been working as a research assistant at ORSAM Syrian Studies Coordination since June 2018. Along with advanced English and Arabic, he speaks simple Persian and French.
