Biography

  • Researcher in Levant Studies, Middle Eastern Studies Center (ORSAM) 

 

He graduated from Middle East Technical University (METU), Department of History (major) and Sociology (minor) in 2015. He studied Arabic at Kuwait University Philology Center between 2015-2016 by earning the Kuwait government scholarship. He complited his master's degree and  currently, he is pursuing PhD degree in Middle East Technical University. Haşıl, who has conducted researches on the state-building in the Middle East and the geopolitics of East Africa-Red Sea surrounding, has closely interested in Syrian civil war. Since June 2018, he has been working as researcher at ORSAM, Department of Levant Studies. Along with advanced English, he speaks intermediate Arabic, simple Persian and French.
