Nurbanu Akcan graduated from Ufuk University, Department of Political Science and International Relations department and Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in 2017, with the highest CGPA in her graduating class. Currently, she is pursuing her master’s degree in International Relations Master’s with thesis program of Ufuk University. Ms. Akcan, who is working as a research assistant in the Gulf Studies Department in ORSAM, also has a duty as the editorial assistant of the academic journal -Middle Eastern Studies-, which ORSAM publishes biannually.
Previously she was an intern in The Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TGNA), Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), and Foundation for Political, Economic and Social Research (SETAV). Also, she attended a winter school that organized by Center for Strategic Research of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey (SAM).
Along with her native Turkish, she speaks English.
