Şükrü Emre Ertop

Biography

Mr. Sukru Emre Ertop, born in Ankara in 1996, earned his bachelor's degree in Communication and Design at Ihsan Dogramaci Bilkent University in 2020. Throughout his undergraduate education, he worked as a freelancer in video production, animation, advertisement shooting, script, and social media design for companies operating in sectors such as construction, food, textiles, organization, education, and health.

In 2018, while he was an undergraduate, he worked as the video and animation editor for the Dantatsu Creative Advertising Agency. During that period, he also took part as art director and animation editor in the project, "Feeling of Empathy in Children", which was implemented as a pilot study by the Ministry of National Education under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Sule Alan Crossley. Following this project, he served as video and animation editor in the project, "Sense of Wonder in Children”, that was materialised in collaboration with the University of Essex and Ihsan Dogramaci Bilkent University.

Between 2019-2020, he worked as the editor in video editing and production, animation, and graphic design for the Webolizma Digital Advertising Agency in Ankara. In 2020, he served as a freelancer for many brands in fields such as video production, animation design, graphic design, and drone operation.

Between 2016 and 2020, he wrote articles and reports in English on topics such as new media, media and cultural studies, digital culture, film analysis, cinematography, documentary production, and media history as part of his undergraduate education. In addition to volunteering in various non-governmental organisations as a media design consultant and video expert, he won many awards in short documentary and visual content competitions during his undergraduate education. Her is fluent in English and intermediate in German.

Mr. Sukru Emre Ertop has been working as a video animation specialist at ORSAM since 2020.
