Recep T. Teke

Biography

Recep T. Teke is a PhD student in Area Studies at Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara. He conducts academic studies on Middle East affairs, Türkiye’s Middle East policy, and Syria. Mr. Teke received his Bachelor of Political Science from Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, having graduated valedictorian in 2016, and earned his master’s degree in International Relations at METU, having graduated cum laude in 2020. He wrote his master’s thesis on the Kurds of Northern Syria and their coverage in the Western media. Mr. Teke also studied for a semester at Sciences Po Paris. He is fluent in both English and French.
