Aytekin Kalay

Biography

• ​Secretary General, Center for Middle Eastern Studies (ORSAM)

Born in 1969 in Eskişehir, Kalay graduated from the Ground Forces Signal School in 1987 and started to work for  the Ground Forces Command. He completed his education at Anadolu University Faculty of Economics (1995) and Anadolu University Vocational Higher School of Justice (2019).

Following his duty in the Turkish Armed Forces, Kalay worked at Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Istanbul University (AUZEF), and in managerial positions at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Information Processing Department and currently serves as the Secretary General of ORSAM. In addition, he continues to serve as a member of the directors and supervisory boards of many non-governmental organizations.
