İsmail Sarı

Biography

Dr. İsmail Sarı graduated from the Department of History at Istanbul University in 2001 and received his master's degree in History and International Relations from the same university in 2003. Receiving the best doctoral dissertation award in 2016, Dr. Sarı served as a post-doctoral researcher at Columbia University through a TÜBİTAK scholarship between 2018 and 2019 and as a visiting professor at Missouri State University during his studies in the United States. Dr. Sarı's research interests include Iranian foreign policy, American foreign policy, the contemporary Shiite secularization process, intellectual roots of the regime and opposition in Iran, and current Iranian and US politics. Speaking fluent English and Persian, Dr. Sarı is currently working as a lecturer at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University.
