Recep Tayyip Teke


Recep Tayyip Teke is a Ph.D. student in Area Studies at Middle East Technical University (METU). He currently conducts academic studies on Middle East affairs, Turkey’s Middle East policy, and regional Kurdish politics.

Mr. Teke received his Bachelor of Political Science from Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University having graduated valedictorian in 2016 and earned his master’s degree in International Relations at METU having graduated cum laude in 2020. He wrote his master’s thesis on the Kurds of Northern Syria and their coverage in the Western media. Teke is also pursuing his second bachelor’s degree in law at Ankara University.

He speaks fluent English and intermediate French.
