Biography

Recep Yorulmaz was born in Soma, Turkey in 1985. He completed his BA in Afyon Kocatepe University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Public Finance Department in 2008. Right after his graduation from bachelor degree, he was admitted to get Ministry of Education of Turkey’s MA and PhD scholarship. Hence, he started his MA degree in Clemson University, South Carolina, U.S at the Department of Economics in 2010 with Turkish government’s sponsorship. He received his MA degree in Economics from Clemson University in 2012. In the same year, he started his Ph.D. in Economics in the University of Sheffield, UK with same scholarship and he received his Ph.D. in 2016. Recep Yorulmaz is an economist with research and teaching experiences in public economics, public finance, fiscal policy, and Islamic finance. His current research interests focus on the topics of middle eastern economies affiliated with ORSAM. He has various papers published in national and international refereed academic journals and non-academic analysis under ORSAM.
